Helen Mukoro Idisi

Helen Mukoro Idisi is a Spanish politician who formed Union de Todos, a political party, in December 2014. Presidential candidate Spanish 2016 General Elections and presidential candidate in April and November 2019 Spanish General Elections.

On January 3rd 2020, she was arrested and accused of fraud and impersonation of a public official, after falsely claiming to be the president of the National Committee for UN Women in Spain [1].

Background

Helen Mukoro Idisi was born on 26 December 1969, in Warri Local Government Area, to an Urhobo family from Isiokolo, Ethiope East, Delta State, Nigeria, to Mr Anthony Mukoro (Former Accountant General of the defunct Bendel State), and mother Mrs Mary Mukoro (a teacher and civil servant, Delta State). She is the 5th child of her father. She grew up in Benin City in Edo State.

Early Life

She was raised by her mother, after her father died in 1977, when she was about eight years old. In 1995, her mother remarried Hon Justice Emmanuel Akpomudjere (former Chief Judge of Delta State, Nigeria). A niece to Professor Andrew Onokhoeraye (Former Vice-Chancellor of University of Benin and Delta State University).

Family

She has a 19-year-old son, Richard Cabo Mukoro.

Citizenship

She was granted citizenship in Spain in 2013 by the Spanish government, Ministry of Justice (Spain) and now hails from Denia, Alicante, she had to renounce her Nigerian nationality as there is no dual citizenship for British Commonwealth countries in Spain.

Academic Background

She attended St Ita's College, Sapele between 1977–1981. She attended Bendel State College of Agriculture, Anwai, Asaba merged to Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, where she obtained a diploma in Agriculture in June 1987. She attended the National University of Distance Education in Spain. where she studied Law in 2008. She attended Universidad Católica Santo Domingo where she obtained a postgraduate certificate as Expert in Legal Psychology 'Experto en Psicologia Juridica' in 2010. She attended Assam Don Bosco University, graduating with a BSc Business Administration in June 2016. She also attended the London School of Journalism where she obtained a diploma in Journalism and Newswriting in 2016. She attended Miguel de Cervantes European University where she graduated with a degree program in Private Detective in 2019

Professional Background

Her first job was with the Bendel State civil service as Assistant Agricultural Superintendent officer, and Delta State, civil service. She worked at Cruz Roja Española Javea, in Spain as an Immigration officer. She became the President of the African Europe Chamber of Commerce in 2013, and President of Union de Todos 'political party' in 2014.[2][3] She is an author of many books.

Political candidatures

Spanish 2015 Local Elections

Helen Mukoro Idisi was declared a nominee[4] to contest for the seat of Mayor of Denia, Comunidad Valenciana, in May 2015, under her party 'Union de Todos by Junta Electoral Central, Zona Denia.

Spanish June 26th General Elections

She was declared a nominee[5] in June 2016 (26J) to contest for the Spanish 2016 General Elections[6][7][8][9] of Spain, in the province of Teruel, Aragon, by Junta Electoral Central Spain for the seat of President (Prime Minister), once a general election has been announced by the king, political parties nominate their candidates to stand for the presidency of the government-usually the party leader, and she became the first Spanish of African descent to do so in Spain. The Spanish General Elections is parliamentary, whereby, you only need to choose a province or provinces where you and your political party would like to run for the seat of president, you would do as soon as your political party stand you for the General Elections and the Electoral Commission accept and declare you as a presidential candidate. [10][11] Mukoro was also an aspirant for the Spanish General Elections in 2015,[12][13] in the province of Alicante, Valencian Community, registered by Junta Electoral Central, the Spanish election authority.[14].

Spanish April 28th General Elections

Helen Mukoro Idisi contested] as candidate in the 2019 Spanish elections that was held on April 28th. Her political party stood her as candidate and was declared to contest as presidential candidate in the province of Teruel by the Spanish Electoral Authority (Junta Electoral Central).

Spanish November 10th General Elections

She has been gazetted - BOE and confirmed to run as presidential candidate in the November 2019 Spanish general election in the province of Teruel by the Spanish Electoral Commission (Junta Electoral Central)
