Heber Slatter
Heber Slatter (1887 - 7 May 1918) was an English professional defender who played in the Football League for Reading and Oxford City.

Personal life
Slatter worked as a tax collector. During the First World War, Slatter served as a corporal in the Royal Garrison Artillery. He was wounded by shellfire at Foncquevillers on 3 May 1918, and died of his wounds four days later. Slatter is buried in Couin New British Cemetery.[1][2][3]
