Hans Eduard Meier

Hans Eduard Meier, born 30 December 1922 in Horgen (Switzerland) deceased 15 July 2014,[1][2] is a Swiss type designer. Creator of neohumanist typeface Syntax at Stempel Foundry. Also Barbedor (1984), Letter (1992) and Lapidar (1995).

Awards

Linotype Syntax won TDC² 2000 (Type Directors Club Type Design Competition 2000) award under the Text/display type systems category.[3]

Bitstream Humanist 531 Cyrillic won awards at Kyrillitsa'99 under text category,[4] and "bukva:raz!" type design contests.[5][6]
