Hannah Darlington

Hannah Darlington (born 25 January 2002) is an Australian cricketer who plays for the Sydney Thunder in the Women's Big Bash League.[1] She was the first graduate of the Thunder WBBL Academy.[2]

Darlington got her start in cricket at school when she accidentally hit a teacher in the head with a ball, and was given a choice of detention or to join the cricket team.[3]

Darlington has indigenous heritage and was selected as the captain for the first female Indigenous Sydney Thunder team, and was also selected for an Indigenous team to tour England, as a celebration of the 150th anniversary of the 1868 Aboriginal tour of England.[4][5]
