HTTP POST flood

An HTTP POST flood (or simply POST flood) is a denial of service attack that uses POST requests, which are part of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP).[1] It is one kind of HTTP Flood attack.[1]

History

As of late 2013, POST floods were increasingly being launched from mobile devices.[2]
