Höfner 500/2

The Höfner 500/2 Club Bass is a model of electric bass that has been manufactured by Höfner since 1964. It was introduced as an alternative to the Höfner 500/1 "Violin Bass", following the attention brought to it by its usage by Paul McCartney of the Beatles. It is similar in construction, sound and size to the Violin Bass, however it has a larger body with a more typical guitar shape. The bass also has a white floating pickguard, identical to the one used on the Violin Bass.[1]
