György Szilágyi
György Szilágyi (4 July 1921 – 30 September 1992), was a Hungarian chess International Master (1956), Chess Olympiad team bronze winner (1956).

Biography
György Szilágyi first success in chess was in 1937, when he with team MTK won the Hungarian Team Chess Championship. György Szilágyi twelve times participated in Hungarian Chess Championship where best result reached in 1950 and 1955 when he shared 3rd-4th place. He was several times medalist of Budapest City Chess Championship: shared 1st-3rd place in 1961, 3rd place in 1972, shared 2nd-3rd place in 1973. György Szilágyi was winner of many international chess tournaments, including Amsterdam (1965), Paris (1969) and Primorsko (1975).
György Szilágyi played for Hungary in the Chess Olympiads:[1]
- In 1956, at fourth board in the 12th Chess Olympiad in Moscow (+4, =1, -4) and won team bronze medal.
In 1956, he was awarded the FIDE International Master (IM) title.
