Government Barisal College
Government Barisal College is an educational institution of Barisal, Bangladesh.[2] [3] Government Barisal College (Bengali: সরকারি বরিশাল কলেজ), located in Barisal, is one of renowned college of southern Bangladesh. It is a university level college where students besides class 12, they can attend into bachelor courses as well.

History
Govt. Barisal College is one of the most renowned colleges in the division of Barisal. It is a college of glory and tradition as it was established at the residence of Mahatma Ashwani Kumar Datta. It bears the testimony of the glorious Tamal Tree and demonstration of the golden touch of Ashwani Kumar. Regarding its significance and heritage it was nationalised in 1986.
