Go Wansbeck

Go Wansbeck (GOW) was an Enterprise Agency (Local Enterprise Growth Initiative) in Wansbeck, Northumberland, UK. The agency was founded in 2007,[1] to bring new enterprise to the area, which had suffered high unemployment for some time.

Luke Dunnett was the Commercial premises manager at the project. He assisted new and expanding businesses in the Ashington, Bedlington and Newbiggin by the Sea areas negotiating better deals for them.[2]

In 2013 Go Wansbeck closed down after over five years of helping local businesses. More than 140 firms were helped in finding a location throughout the project.[3]

Statistics

Go Wansbeck brought over £16 million into the area and helped over 300 start-ups.[4]
