Gildardo García

Gildardo García (born 9 March 1954) is a Colombian chess Grandmaster since 2008.[1] His highest rating was 2540 (in July 1994) and he is ranked 15th in Colombia.[2]

He was the Colombian national champion 10 times, winning in 1977, 1978, 1985 -1987, 1990, 1991, 1995, 2003, and 2006.[3][4][5]

In 1974, he won the Panamerican Junior Championship.[6]

In 2006, he played in the chess olympiads for Colombia.[7]
