Ghede Linto

Ghede Linto is a loa that performs miracles, although many think he is a small boy because of his politeness. About 5 feet tall, Linto is a brown or gray humanoid and are in fact a race of loa all their own. They hardly makes noise and instead sound like the creaking of trees. They are very well mannered and docile. They love to teach worshipers to sing, and enjoy leaving them gifts of fruit and herbs. Ghede Linto are often found in forests and jungles outside of villages and towns, sometimes in large wooded areas in cities. These loa are said to live in the trees or be incarnations of groups of trees. Some groups speculate that they may be loa that are formed from the souls of children who were lost in the woods and find shelter in ancient trees, the sight of them by those who are not practitioners who have called on them has always been seen as an omen and sign of impending natural disasters or the destruction of sacred areas to land development or war.
