George Staudenmayer

George Staudenmayer (1857–1939)[1] was a member of the Wisconsin State Senate.

Biography

Staudenmayer was born on December 3, 1857 in Caledonia, Columbia County, Wisconsin to Eva Margarethe Naser and John G. Staudenmayer.[1][2] He made his living farming and threshing. He married Margaret McLeish ((1864–1914), with whom he raised at least four children. Staudenmayer died November 27, 1939, and is interred in Portage, Wisconsin.[1]

Political career

Staudenmayer was first elected to the Senate in 1914 as a Democrat. In 1918 and 1922, he was re-elected as a Republican.[3] Additionally, he was Chairman of Caledonia.
