Gaffney, Cline & Associates

Gaffney, Cline & Associates is a petroleum consulting company headquartered in Alton, the United Kingdom, with offices in London, Houston, Buenos Aires, Singapore, Dubai and Sydney.

Gaffney, Cline & Associates (GCA) was founded in 1962. Since 2008, it is a subsidiary of Baker Hughes.[1]

One of the notable functions of Gaffney Cline, along with similar petroleum industry consultants such as DeGolyer and MacNaughton, Netherland, Sewell, RPS-APA and Ryder Scott, is to provide third party verification and/or valuation of oil and natural gas reserves - typically 1P proven reserves, but also 2P probable reserves and 3P possible reserves - for company annual reports and SEC filing 20-F.[2] In addition to commercial and technical studies in the oil and gas sector, GCA has practice areas in Gas/LNG, Value Assurance and Carbon Management. The GCA carbon management program quantifies carbon intensity of reserves and resources and certifies carbon emission reductions for oil and gas activities.
