Frosé

Frosé, or frozen rosé, is a slushy drink that includes frozen rosé, sweet vermouth and pureed strawberries or watermelon. It can also include lemon juice, sugar syrup, and cranberry juice.[1] Another variation uses Beefeater Pink Gin, Chambord Black Raspberry liqueur, Villa Real rosé wine and grapefruit juice.[2]

One criticism of frosé is that freezing wine "destroys the structure of the drink by separating the chemical compounds that make wine's flavors and aromatics so complex and delicious."[3] Frosé was developed by Justin Sievers at Bar Primi in New York in summer 2016.[4]
