Fred Anderson (Montana politician)
Fred Anderson (born July 16, 1944[2]) is an American politician. He serves as a Republican member of the Montana House of Representatives, where he represents District 20, including parts of Great Falls, Montana.[3]

Early life
Anderson was born in Bozeman, Montana. He earned a BS from Northern Montana College in 1967, a MEd in Vocational Administration from Colorado State University in 1979, and a PhD in Administration and Supervision, also from Colorado State University, in 1980. He worked as a teacher, and then as an assistant principal and principal.[2]
Political career
In 2014, Anderson ran for election to represent the 24th district, but lost the general election to Democrat Jean Price by 23 votes. In 2016, Anderson ran for the District 20 seat, and won against Amy Rapp. He was re-elected in 2018, and is running again in 2020.[1]
Anderson had been Principal of Custer County District High School from 1982-2002,[2] during which time an athletic trainer allegedly sexually abused students there, and, in 2019, Anderson faced pressure from a county Republican leader to resign from his legislative position.[4]
