Florence Wix
Florence Wix (May 16, 1883 – November 23, 1956)[1] was an English-born American character actress who worked from the 1920s in silent films through sound films of the 1950s.

Biography
Born on May 16, 1883 in Hertfordshire in England, Wix would make her screen debut in the 1924 film Secrets, starring Betty Compson and Noah Beery.[2] While some sources indicate that she appeared in over 100 films, the American Film Institute Database only has her listed in 48.[3] Some of the more notable films she appeared in include: Mr. Smith Goes to Washington (1939), starring James Stewart, Jean Arthur, and Claude Rains;[4] William Wyler's 1942 classic drama, Mrs. Miniver, starring Greer Garson and Walter Pidgeon;[5] and 1947's comedy, The Farmer's Daughter, starring Loretta Young, Joseph Cotten, and Ethel Barrymore.[6] Her final screen appearance would be in The Story of Three Loves (1953).[7] Wix died on November 23, 1956 in the Woodland Hills area of Los Angeles, California, and was buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.[8]
