Finty Williams

Tara Cressida Frances "Finty" Williams (born 24 September 1972)[3] is an English actress.

Early life and education

Williams was born in London, the only child of Judi Dench and Michael Williams.[1][4] Williams trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London, graduating in 1994.[2]

Career

Williams has had a recurring role in the TV series Born and Bred. She has also worked in the theatre in such plays as Party Piece, with Richard Harris. She has also appeared in a number of British films, many always alongside her mother, Judi Dench.

In addition, Williams has done extensive voice work, including for the titular character in the animated children's series Angelina Ballerina. She has done audiobook narration, including Sophie Kinsella's I've Got Your Number, and Terry Mancour's Spellmonger Cadet books, including Hawkmaiden, Hawklady, and Sky Rider.

Personal life

Williams is the only child of actors Judi Dench and Michael Williams.[4] As of 1997, Williams has had one child, a son called Sam, who was born on 6 June 1997.[4] Dench has said that Williams didn't tell her she was going to be a grandmother until days before the birth.[4]

Williams' picture appears in the opening credits of the British romantic comedy television series, starring her mother, As Time Goes By.
