Fayaz Ahmad Mir

Fayaz Ahmad Mir is an Indian politician and a Member of Parliament in the Rajya Sabha representing the state of Jammu & Kashmir in Rajya Sabha.[1] Fayaz Mir is one of the Senior Leaders and has worked with Late Mufti Mohammad Syed, the former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir and is known for his proximity with the party top brass. He is also believed to have close affinity with the Party chief, Ms Mehbooba Mufti. He got into a controversy on 5 August 2019 when he tore the constitution in protest of Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Act, 2019.
