Biography

She began writing after her first husband, John Kenneth Mackenzie, was killed in Mexico in an incident that was widely covered.[1] It was through her writing that she met Frederic Hatton, the drama critic who would become her writing partner and second husband. The pair wrote dozens of plays and screenplays together during the 1920s.[2]
