European Trade Union Institute (ETUI)

The European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) is the independent research and training institute of the European Trade Union Confederation ETUC. The ETUI was formed in 2005, following a merger of three specialist bodies: the European Trade Union Institute (ETUI, founded in 1978), the European Trade Union College (ETUCO, founded in 1989) and the Trade Union Technical Bureau (TUTB, founded in 1989).[1]

The ETUI publishes several different publications aimed at different audiences, from policy makers, to practitioners and trade unionists. Every year the ETUI, in collaboration with the ETUC publishes Benchmarking Working Europe, the ETUI’s annual stock-take of macro-economic, social and bargaining conditions in Europe.[5]
