Ethel Skyles Alexander

Ethel Skyles Alexander (January 16, 1925 September 10, 2016) was an American politician.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Alexander graduated from Englewood High School. She then went to Loop College (Now Harold Washington College) and took an IBM Executive Training Course. Alexander worked in the Cook County, Illinois Circuit Court office. From 1979 to 1986, Alexander served in the Illinois House of Representatives and was a Democrat. In 1986, Alexander was appointed to in the Illinois Senate replacing Charles Chew who died while in office and served until 1993. Her father Charles Skyles also served in the Illinois General Assembly.

She died in Chicago, Illinois in 2016.[1][2]
