Emma Mackey
Emma Margaret Marie Tachard-Mackey is a French and British actress.[1] Since 2019, she has starred as Maeve Wiley in the Netflix comedy-drama series Sex Education.

Early life
Emma Margaret Marie Tachard-Mackey[2] was born in Le Mans, the daughter of a French father and an English mother.[3][4] Her father is a school headmaster.[5] She grew up in Sablé-sur-Sarthe[3] and received her baccalauréat in 2013, subsequently moving to England to study English language and literature at the University of Leeds.[3] She graduated in 2016. Mackey lives in London.[1]
Career
Mackey stars in the Netflix comedy-drama series Sex Education[6][7] as Maeve Wiley, a quick-witted, business-savvy "bad girl" who convinces a fellow student to start an underground sex therapy business at their school.[8][9] Sex Education is Mackey's first major television series. Her performance has been critically well-received.[10]. In May 2020, it was announced that Mackey will play Emily Bronte in a biopic which will focus on early life of Bronte. [11]
