Elephant Research Foundation
Elephant Research Foundation, first known as Elephant Interest Group (EIG), was a non-profit organization established by evolutionary biologist and elephant specialist, Professor Jeheskel Shoshani in 1977, and closed down in 2017. Shoshani was also the editor of its publication Elephant,[1] as well as a very active contributor to the Elephant Listserver (elephant-@listserver.wineasy.se), [2] created in 1995 by elephant consultant Dan Koehl. [3]
