Elachista archaeonoma

Elachista archaeonoma is a species of moth in the family Elachistidae.[1] It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1889.[2] It is endemic to New Zealand.[3][4]

The wingspan is 6–8 mm. The forewings are dark grey, irrorated with whitish. The hindwings are grey. Adults have been recorded on wing in December and January.[5]

The larvae of this species are grass leaf miners.[6]
