The Barn Aid benefit's aim was the restoration of the barn at Bubbling Springs Farm. There was no plan to make a recording, but when a fan tape of the concert was found, Brown approved it and gave permission for the release. Brown's label, Red House Records was instrumental in the production, editing and release. Only one pressing was made.[1]
