The song remains Kix's most successful single release, peaking at #11 on the Billboard Hot 100.[2]. It is the group's only notable singles chart success, despite a largely successful career. The main subject matter for the song is a plea for the listener not to commit suicide despite a lack of sympathy from their mother and a largely absent father.
