Deerwalk Institute of Technology

Deerwalk Institute of Technology (DWIT) is one of the IT Colleges[1] located in Kathmandu, Nepal,[2] which is affiliated to Institute of Science and Technology, Nepal,[3] Tribhuwan University. DWIT was founded by Nepalese entrepreneurs [4] in collaboration with Deerwalk Inc, a software company based in USA. DWIT's mission statement is "To advance and disseminate knowledge with a curriculum that combines theory and practice in the fields of technology, science, and management."[5]

Academics

DWIT offers more than 50 computer science courses in languages, logic, and hardware theory.[6] These courses, in both computer science and information technology, have been designed to teach the intricacies of enterprise software design and development. The program also aims to provide students with internship opportunities at Deerwalk Inc.

DWIT runs a news site which is fully operated by its students. Every year, DWIT organizes Information Technology for Development (IT4D) Conference.
