Dee Tails

Dee Tails is an English rapper, dancer and actor/creature performer best known for his work in the British boy band MN8, Star Wars: The Force Awakens,[1][2][3][4] Rogue One,[5][6][7][8][9] Star Wars: The Last Jedi,[10][11][12] and Solo: A Star Wars Story.[13][14][15][16][17]

Career

Dee Tails started his career as a member of the R&B group MN8[18][19][20][21] where he achieved 7 top 25 hit singles in the UK[22] and international success in France,[23] Australia,[24] New Zealand[25] and the US.[26] Their debut single "I've Got a Little Something for You" featured on the Bad Boys soundtrack[27] and was notably one of the first ever remixes by P.Diddy[28][29] for his Bad Boy label. MN8 also supported Janet Jackson on the European leg of her tour in 1995.[30]

After MN8, Dee Tails focused on his acting career where he did theatre work for many years playing Tommy the Cat in Dick Whittington,[31][32][33][34] quoted by The Stage as a "a real standout performance".[35] He also had a feature role in Batman Begins[36][37][38] as a Gotham City Police Officer in 2005. In 2013, he appeared in the film Captain Phillips[39] as a UKMTO Operator. In 2015, he appeared in 4 episodes of Jekyll & Hyde[40][41][42][43] for ITV where he played The Harbinger[44][45][46] alongside Richard E. Grant.[47][48]

In 2004, he appeared as a mystery guest on the identity parade on Never Mind the Buzzcocks.[49]

Dee Tails also featured as a leading role in a Nescafe commercial in 2011,[50] filmed in South Africa which featured Dee Tails alongside a piano in the commercial.

In 2015, Dee Tails landed the role of Cratinus in Star Wars: The Force Awakens. He then went on to perform as the character L-1 (also known as K-Ohn) in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story in 2016. In 2017, he played the role of Slowen Lo[51] in Star Wars: The Last Jedi voiced by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.[52] In 2018, Tails played Quay Tolsite in the film Solo: A Star Wars Story.[53][54][55]
