David Parker (attorney)
David P. Parker (born 1954) is an attorney based in Statesville, North Carolina, a former chairman of the North Carolina Democratic Party, and the Democratic nominee for Congress in the 2020 election of North Carolina's 10th congressional district.

Parker earned undergraduate and law degrees at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He was the campaign manager for Sen. Terry Sanford's unsuccessful 1992 re-election campaign. From 1995 until his election as state party chair, Parker served as a member of the Democratic National Committee and was thus a superdelegate.[1] He is a former Iredell-Statesville school board member and former chairman of the board for Mitchell Community College.
