David Drebin

David Drebin is an American multidisciplinary artist and author who creates limited edition photographs, lightboxes, neon light Installations, sculptures and etchings on glass.

After graduating from the Parsons School of Design in 1996, Drebin became known for his portraits of movie stars, sports personalities and other entertainers. He was then commissioned for advertising campaigns around the world.

Art

In May 2005, Drebin staged his first solo exhibition at Camera Work in Berlin. Drebin stages femme fatale photo sessions in Hong Kong, New York, and Paris. At Art Miami in 2010, his work “Central Park” sold for $78,000. Drebin has had exhibitions in Paris, New York, Miami, Istanbul, Amsterdam, Brussels and many other cities Internationally.

In 2018 the Drebin photograph "Jerusalem" sold for $100,000 in Los Angeles.

Books

Drebin 's books include The Morning After, Beautiful Disasters", "Chasing Paradise", "Dreamscapes", "Love and Lights" and "Before They Were Famous".

Drebin's first monograph, Love and Other Stories, was published by Daab in 2007. On April 1, 2009, his photograph Movie Star sold for $16,250 in New York. collectors of Drebin’s work include Elton John and Ben Stiller.
