Dae-Sook Suh

Suh Dae-sook (born November 22, 1931)[1] is a professor emeritus of political science and the former director of the Centre for Korean Studies at the University of Hawaii.[2] He received his PhD from Columbia University in 1964 with a thesis Korean Communism and the rise of Kim.[3]

He is best known for the books Kim Il Sung: The North Korean Leader which was published by Columbia University Press and The Korean Communist Movement.[4] His works have been published or translated in English, Korean, Russian, and German.
