Held each year over a weekend in late March, the festival comprises a dozen music stages, 25 or more parade groups and street theatre performances, visual art installations, and 125+ food and beverage vendors.
The central city streets are closed to create a large pedestrian festival zone where people dance in the streets, music and art fill the neighbourhood, and up to 1000 artists participate in the programme. CubaDupa showcases over 120 acts from all over the world and includes over 300 unique performances each year.[1] It is a revival of the Cuba Street Carnival.
