Criminal Justice Workers Union

The Criminal Justice Workers Union or CJWU is a trade union that represents workers in the criminal justice sector in the United Kingdom.

It’s President is David Gillan and General Secretary is Andy Hamlin with an executive committee of 10 people.

Established on 6 April 2020 by Mike Rolfe, former National Chair of the POA, and other key people in the criminal justice sector, the CJWU aims to offer a modern and alternative type of union to those readily in existence. The CJWU is a non-party political and non-TUC affiliated trade union.

As at 1 June 2020 the CJWU reportedly has in the region of 700 members.
