College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, Durg is a veterinary college located in Anjora, Durg, Chhattisgarh, India. It was established in 8 September 1985. It is constituent college of Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu University. Currently the institute offers Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc & A.H.), Master of Veterinary Science (M.V.Sc.) and Ph.D. The campus extends to 586 acres along the bank of the Shivnath river.

The college has a small dairy, a pig unit, a goat unit, and under construction horse stable. It has the largest herd of Sahiwal cattle in the country. The dairy is a grazing type.

History

Established in 8 September 1985, it was under Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur. In 1987, it became a constituent college of newly formed Indira Gandhi Krishi Vishwavidyalaya, Raipur. After establishment of Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya in 2012, it is a constituent college of Chhattisgarh Kamdhenu Vishwavidyalaya.[1]
