Climate Policy Initiative
The Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) is a climate think tank of 70[1] analysts and advisors that works to improve energy and land use policies around the world, with a particular focus on finance.[2]
The Climate Policy Initiative should not to be confused with Initiative on Climate Change policy and Governance (ICCG), formerly (up to 2017) International Center for Climate Governance.
CPI is an independent, non-profit organization, mainly supported by Open Society Foundations,[2] but also by another 18 charitables.[1] It is considered a leader expert group in tracking global climate finance.[3]
In TTmap, a worldwide observatory on climate think tanks, CPI was ranked 49th. The first one is the Woods Hole Research Center.[2]

CPI started operations in 2009.[2]

Offices
CPI is headquartered in San Francisco (USA). It also has offices in New Delhi (India), Hyderabad (India), Jakarta (Indonesia), Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and Venice (Italy).[2]
Publications
Since 2009 CPI has published about 200 studies on the previously listed fields of research, mainly in English, with some in Portuguese. The studies are freely downloadable in its publications web page.[4]
