Early life

Huie started out writing poetry and eventually transitioned into songwriting. In his early days, he was a freestyle battle rapper and eventually a radio personality.

Career

At 15, Huie stumbled across the BET show 106 & Park,[1] eventually appearing on the show[1] in 2006.

Huie was featured on "Payday", a song by Snoop Dogg's Tha Eastsidaz group in 2014. His oldest available song on digital platforms is called "Nobody Can Save You" and features Funk Volume affiliate SwizZz. In November 2018, his song "When Only You Will Do" was uploaded to the YouTube account FCK THEM.[4][5][6]

2019 was Huie's big break. He was cosigned by Juice Wrld, who posted a video of himself listening to Huie.

He eventually made an appearance on "Ring Ring" from Juice Wrld's sophomore studio album Death Race for Love.[7]

During the production of Justin Bieber's fifth studio album Changes in February 2020, Bieber said he stumbled upon some of Huie's music on Instagram and decided to add him to the album. In an interview with Beats 1's host Zane Lowe, Bieber said, "I just saw him on Instagram and I was like, this guy's tone is crazy, and he just has this vibe that's just insane... you can just feel the pain through the music, you can feel just emotion."[8] Huie was featured along with Post Malone on the single "Forever". The song was released as a single the same day alongside the rest of the album.[9]
