Chip Long

Chip Long is an American football coach, who most recently served as the offensive coordinator of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish football team. Long followed Mike Norvell from Arizona State to Memphis Tigers to serve as offensive coordinator under Norvell in 2016.[1][2] After one season at Memphis, he left to become offensive coordinator for Notre Dame[3][4] . Long was a finalist for the 2018 Broyles Award, which is given to the nation's top assistant coach, after the Irish finished the regular season undefeated, and had secured their first appearance in the college football playoffs. On December 11th, 2019, it was announced that Long would not be retained by the University of Notre Dame. In February of 2020, it was reported that Chip Long had accepted an off the field analyst position at the University of Tennessee.
