Charmaine Yee

Charmaine Yee (born 1 July 1987), also known as Chinese: 余嘉甄(Yee Kah Yan), is a Singapore Emcee/Host & Radio Presenter/Producer and contracted artiste under Kiss 92FM. She hosts Singapore’s Number 1 English Show every weekday afternoon from 1 to 4 pm., playing All the Great Songs in One Place. She hosts The Maine Show produced by Kiss92 FM every Friday.

She has provided voice work for commercials and campaigns including Starhub, Singapore Telecoms, Nescafe Dolce Gusto, Tourism Australia,[1] Air Asia, Pilot Pens,[2] The Taiwan Visitor’s Association, Best Denki, TK Trichokare, Ricola and Bone Marrow Donors Programme [3] and onboard entertainment for China Airlines and Garuda Indonesia.

She has also worked as an event / television host, having interviewed international celebrities including Tom Hanks, Melissa McCarthy, Rebel Wilson of Pitch Perfect 3; movie stars such as Dwayne Johnson of Rampage, Hugh Jackman of Logan; television stars eg. Jeannie Mai of DIVA How Do I Look Asia, the Hot Guys from HOT GUYS WHO COOK (Diva Universal),[4]; F1 Champion Lewis Hamilton; and international artistes such as James Morrison,[5] Nelly Furtado, Paramore, The Wanted, James Blunt, 5 Seconds of Summer, Avril Lavigne, We the Kings, Boyce Avenue and Sam Willows.[6]

She was also the host at Marina Bay Sands Play It Forward and supports charities including Cancer Awareness and Autism awareness.[7]

Early life

Charmaine Yee attended CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls' School from 1994 to 2003. She won numerous awards including Saint Nicholas Girls' School Good Service (Distinction) Award from 2000-2003, Edusave Award for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service in 2001. She was also Vice President of English Literary Drama and Debating Society (ELDDS) 2002,2003. High School Monitor 2000,2001 and High School Prefect 2002,2003.

Charmaine Yee was also Vice-Captain of CHIJ Saint Nicholas Girls' School in 2002.

Education

Charmaine Yee attended Trinity College, Melbourne for Foundation Studies in December 2004 then moved to The University of Melbourne February 2005 to pursue a Bachelor of Arts (Media and Communications) with a double major in Media and Communications and International Relations. Whilst completing her degree she represented the University of Melbourne as part of a study abroad program at University of California, Los Angeles for Communication Studies and Political Science.

Charmaine Yee received her Bachelor's in December 2007.[8]

Career

Charmaine Yee started her first job in January 2011 as a radio presenter with Radio 91.3, she hosted weekday radio shows from 10am till 2pm. She worked there till January 2015, when HOT FM 91.3 underwent a major revamp, rebranding as One FM 91.3 .[9] She entered the television presenter foray. And WTA Women's Tennis Association, Top Ranking Final Showdown in Singapore.
