Charles White (writer)

Charles White (1845–1922) was an Australian journalist and author noted for his books on bushranging. He was an uncle of Mary Gilmore.

Charles was born in Bathurst, New South Wales, the son of the owner of the Bathurst Free Press. He worked as police roundsman for his father, and became interested in the activities of bushrangers Ben Hall, Frank Gardiner and John Gilbert

He served as editor for his father's newspaper from 1884 to 1902.
