Charles West (footballer)
Charles West (1880 - 30 April 1916) was an English professional goalkeeper who played in the Football League for Reading.

Personal life
Besides his footballing career, West served as a farm overseer at the family-owned Flowers Farm in his hometown of Pangbourne. During the First World War, he enlisted in the Royal Garrison Artillery as a gunner, and died of illness in the 4th Southern General Hospital in Plymouth on 30 April 1916 at the age of 36. He was buried in Pangbourne Churchyard.[1][2]
