Carey Holzman

Carey Holzman (born June 23, 1968 in Detroit, Michigan) is an Information Technology professional, author, freelance journalist, and former co-host of Craig Crossman's nationally syndicated radio show, Computer America.[1] Holzman was the first US journalist to bring media attention to the leaking capacitor plague.[2] He is the author of the first edition of The Healthy PC by McGraw-Hill (ISBN 9780072229233), and is a regular contributor to CMP Media's TechBuilder website and Tom's Hardware Guide.

Holzman has been a self-employed, full-time computer technician since 1996, having been professionally repairing and diagnosing computers since 1991. As of February 2019, his YouTube channel had more than 270 thousand subscribers, with 19 million video views, and more than 200 videos featuring detailed diagnostic computer repair and related topics. As a change of pace, he occasionally covers classic rock 'n' roll (with suggested playlists), cars, and even cooking on his related channels.

Holzman also hosts a podcast named Tech-Vets with co-presenter Mike Smith, a fellow IT professional. They keep their listeners informed about the "trials and tribulations" of running their individual computer repair businesses.

Currently residing in Phoenix, Arizona, Holzman regularly attends local computer clubs, such as the Mesa Regal Computer Club and the Sun Lakes Computer Club, on occasion serving as a guest speaker at these and similar events.

He is a graduate of Harvard College and the Fuqua School of Business.[3]
