Literary career
Polk's first novel, Witchmark, was published in 2018 and was nominated for multiple awards including the Nebula Award, Locus Award and Lambda Literary.[2] In 2019, she won the World Fantasy Award for best novel.[3]
Notable Influences
Polk's work has been influenced by other women in the fantasy fiction field, including Elizabeth Bear, Tanith Lee, Barbara Hambly.[4]
