Burhaan

Boqor Burhaan, or Boqor Burhan, is the titular title of Ahmed Burhan, the heir apparent of the Majeerteen Sultanate. On May 2014, he was inaugurated as the 34th Darod King. This expansion of his royalty beyond the Majeerteen has been criticized as provocative as it would nullify other Darod noble Houses, such as that of the Dhulbahante garaadship, of the House of Garaad Shirshoore.[1] His inauguration was attended by officials from Puntland, Federal Government of Somalia, Jubaland, Kenya and the Somali administration of Ethiopia.[2] In 2015, he met Zulu king Swelithi in order to discuss Somaliphobic attacks.[3]
