Broderick Pabillo

Broderick Soncuaco Pabillo (born 11 March 1955) is an auxiliary bishop of Manila. He also serves as the Apostolic Administrator of the sede vacante Archdiocese of Manila. [1]

Biography

Broderick Soncuaco Pabillo was ordained a priest of the Salesians of Saint John Bosco by Manila archbishop Jaime L. Cardinal Sin on 8 December 1982.

On 24 May 2006, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Auxiliary Bishop of Manila and Titular Bishop of Sitifis. He was consecrated bishop on 19 August 2006 by Manila archbishop Gaudencio B. Cardinal Rosales. Co-consecrators were Papal Nuncio to the Philippines Archbishop Fernando Filoni and Most Rev. Pedro D. Arigo, Vicar Apostolic of Palawan.[1]

On 10 February 2020, with the departure of Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle to take up his role as Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples, Pabillo was appointed by Pope Francis as the Apostolic Administrator of the Archdiocese of Manila.[2]
