Bogićevica
Bogićevica (Albanian: Bogiçevica/Bogiqevica; Montenegrin and Serbian: Богићевица, Bogićevica) is a mountain area in the Prokletije. It spreads over Albania, Montenegro and Kosovo[a]. It is about 15 km (9 mi) long and 10 km (6 mi) wide. The mountain area has a number of peaks higher than 2,000 m (6,562 ft) and two higher than 2,500 m (8,202 ft). Marijaš (2,533 m or 8,310 ft) and Maja e Ropës (2,502 m or 8,209 ft) are both located in Kosovo. The towns of Deçan in Kosovo and Tropojë in Albania are located near the area.
A part of Maja e Ropës mountains was declared a mountains flora reserve in 1955 covering an area of 25 h (molika, beech, pine). In the same area the Kozhnjari area was declared a fauna reserve covering an area of 161 h especially because of the presence of chamois.

The Republic of Kosovo unilaterally declared independence on 17 February 2008, but Serbia continues to claim it as part of its own sovereign territory. Kosovo is currently recognized as an independent state by 97 out of the 193 United Nations member states.
