Biku (Bihar)

Bikku is a village comes under orro panchayat in the Nardiganj block of the Nawada district in the state of Bihar, India.[1] As of the 2011 census the total population of this village is approximately 2554. Biku is 10 km from the famous pilgrimage town of Rajgir. The main crop of Bikku is paddy, wheat, corn, rice, sugarcane, arhar and potatoes. The Orro Railway Station is in the east of the Village. It connects Rajgir and Tilaya (hiusa) station.

Bikku is surrounded by Jafra, Bikku, Shahajpura, Jagdeeshpur, Bhelu bigha, and Bastibigha villages.

Main festival of Bikku village is Lakshmi Pooja, Sarasawati Pooja, Ganesh Pooja, chhat pooja, etc.

Two temples are there, named Thakur sthan and Devi Sthan. This village has rivers in his each boundary. Tilaiya river is very close, and the second river is Dhadher.

There is one school named M.S.Bikku, a primary government school.[2] This village has no high school; for higher education, students go to Nardiganj high school or Nardiganj College, or they go to Orro.
