Bidcorp

Bid Corporation Limited (Bidcorp) is a widely-branched publicly traded food service company. It currently trades on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in South Africa. The company trades as (BID).[1][2]

On May 30, 2016, Bidcorp separated from Bidvest to continue as an independent industry.[3] In South Africa, Bidcorp mainly trades under the names Bidfood, Crown Food and Chipkin Puratos and in England as the BFS Group.[4] The firm, headquartered in Sandton, has over 26,000 employees.[5] Its shares are listed on the JSE and the largest shareholders are the South African public sector pension fund, the GEPF, with 16% and JPMorgan Chase with 10%. Almost 50% of the shares are owned by South Africans.
