Bhagwat (surname)
Bhagwat is a surname of the Hindu Brahmins communities commonly found in India. It is found mainly among Deshastha[1], Chitpavan[2] and Karhade[3] Brahmins.
Etymology
Bhagwat means a follower or devotee of Bhagavān Krishna.[4]
