Barbara Jean Day
Barbara Jean Day (July 7, 1919 – August 16, 2006), was the wife of two celebrities, first cartoonist Charles Addams, creator of the comic strip The Addams Family, and then writer and journalist John Richard Hersey,[1] one of the first practitioners of New Journalism and author of Hiroshima.[2] Barbara was the primary inspiration for the Morticia Addams character in Addams' comic strip, and later TV show and movies, both in personality and looks[3]/style.[4]
