Barbara Jean Day

Barbara Jean Day (July 7, 1919 August 16, 2006), was the wife of two celebrities, first cartoonist Charles Addams, creator of the comic strip The Addams Family, and then writer and journalist John Richard Hersey,[1] one of the first practitioners of New Journalism and author of Hiroshima.[2] Barbara was the primary inspiration for the Morticia Addams character in Addams' comic strip, and later TV show and movies, both in personality and looks[3]/style.[4]
