Baniapur is a town in Saran district of Bihar state, India.

About Baniapur

The place is famous for the Baniapur Cattle Mela which though is not as famous as the Sonepur Cattle Mela of Bihar, which attracts visitors from far off places. Famous religious place is samadhi of Lakshman Das And Shah madeen. It is also famous for smosa chat. From the month of January to February a big fair(Mela) is arrange at this place. The best sweet you can it in this fair is Gour ka jilebi which is less costly and tasty.

National Highway 85 and National Highway 101 pass through Baniapur. Nearest airport is Patna Airport. nearest railway station is Isuapur on metergause ekma on broad gauge headquqeter has p.s.,post office, block office, hospital, referral hospital&dakbunglow. Nearest railway junction is chhapra junction (station code- CPR) which is about 25 km. It comes in kanhauli sangram panchayat. It is comes under baniyapur bidhan-sabha and maharajganj loksabha. Most of the commerce flow from the city like chhapra, hajipur and patna. Most of the people are solely based on small scale business sector. Major business establishments are Sinha Studio, Sinha Automobiles,Utkarsh garments etc. Some Nearest Villages are, Sahajitpur, Rajauli, Kamta, Gopalpur, Harpur, Dhanao, Dhobwal, Karah, Dhangaraha, Bara Louwa, Louwa Kala, Sareya, Satua, chetan chhapra,Paigambarpur etc.
